Getting married in Chamonix Mont-Blanc — in the heart of the Lavancher
Three venues, an in-house wedding planning team, 55 rooms, and chef Mathilde Walisko at the helm — your wedding at the Chalet Hotel Jeu de Paume.
There are some settings that don't need explaining to guests. The Aiguilles du Mont-Blanc are among them. In the heart of the unspoiled hamlet of Le Lavancher, ten minutes from the center of Chamonix, the Chalet Hotel Jeu de Paume Each season, it hosts a handful of weddings—no more, to ensure the care that is required. Three venues, three atmospheres, a team that orchestrates every detail: everything is designed so that on the big day, all you have to do is say... Yes.
At the foot of the Aiguilles, a setting that speaks for itself
Le Lavancher is that secluded spot in the valley that seems to belong only to those who know it. A few stone houses, a stream flowing down from the glacier, meadows where marmots still whistle in the spring. And, nestled there, the chalet—wood, stone, living rooms with light wood paneling, gardens opening onto the Mont Blanc massif. Four stars , but without the formality: the house has the warmth of a large family gathering and the precision of a hotel that has learned how to welcome guests.
The address also has its magical moment. Around six o'clock in the evening, the golden light shifts over the Aiguilles. The moment for saying "I do ," precisely. And at night, when the fire pit lights up in the garden, you understand why some couples come for a visit—and return to sign a contract the following month.
Three venues, three weddings — you choose
A reception at Jeu de Paume never looks quite like the previous one, and that's precisely what we like about it. Depending on the season, the format of your party and the number of guests, three different settings can be opened — or combined.
The gardens — a grand outdoor wedding
For large gatherings and festive celebrations, the hotel gardens offer an open-air stage with views of the Aiguilles du Mont Blanc. A secular ceremony under the fir trees, a cocktail reception on the terrace, a grand buffet orchestrated by Chef Mathilde Walisko, and an evening of dancing under the stars. A fire pit for aperitifs, homemade cocktails by the pool, an impromptu game of pétanque between courses—the festive spirit of a southern wedding with the peaks as a backdrop. Beyond the hotel's 55 beds, the buffet format allows for the accommodation of several dozen additional guests during the day.
The Rosebud — an intimate gastronomic wedding
For intimate weddings and small gatherings, Le Rosebud restaurant is available for private hire. Enjoy a hushed atmosphere, a crackling fireplace, and tables set as in a fine restaurant. Chef Mathilde Walisko —European Vice-Champion of Offal and recipient of the Écotable award since February 2026—creates a bespoke menu featuring locally sourced, seasonal produce and contemporary flair. Ideal for weddings of 20 to 30 guests seeking elegance, fine dining, and discretion. The authentic Alpine décor speaks for itself.
La Table du Lavancher — a bistro wedding and the day after a party
For bistro-style weddings, post-wedding brunches, and casual lunches, our bistro, La Table du Lavancher, is perfect for relaxed settings: a sweet and savory brunch and barbecue for Sunday guests, or a lunch the day after for friends who want to extend the celebration. It's the ideal solution for couples who want to spread their festivities over several days without changing venues. Barbecue is included in the package, prepared by the chef on the terrace overlooking the mountains.

Regional specialties and classic dishes are enhanced by herbs from the herb garden and spices that the chef brings back from her travels.
The establishment boasts two certifications : Green Key for the hotel (water, energy, waste management, local sourcing) and the Écotable label for Le Rosebud (short supply chains, strict seasonality, animal welfare, 100% of suppliers audited on the IMPACT scientific platform).
